Resident Evil 6 (PS4) review

This is the first and only horror game that I will ever play. I have a weak heart and can't play any suspense or anything worse than this game. I was introduced to this game a way long back but I never even dared to play it. This year just for laughs and giggles I decided to play the game my dad has been playing before I was even born. I was actually encouraged to play when I found out that at ththere's a second player (since most Resident Evil games didn't have a second player).

The game play has changed a lot from the last. You can now have a second player join the game, you cannot directly eat the herb unlike before, more guns, more playable characters, more action reflex moves, and more accurate weapons reloading. The story depends on who you're using. If you're using Leon, your partner is Helena. If you're using Jake (the guy on the far left of the picture) your partner is Sherry. If you're Chris your partner is Piers (the guy in the middle). If you're Ada, and you're playing with a second player, you have an agent as your partner.

Playing Leon's campaign probably the best to get you warmed up for the game. In Leon's campaign your primary opponent is Simmons, the CEO of a company. It reveals that Simmons actually allowed the virus to spread throughout the world. In Chris's campaign however, your opponent will be Ada Wong. Ada is shown to be working with Simmons but soon betrays him and spreading the virus around the world with ease. As Jake, you won't have any primary opponents you're after, but it mostly shows the two running away from danger as Jake needs to be protected since he is the antivirus. Then everything takes a turn in Ada's solo campaign. It shows that Ada has a doppelganger. No one knows of the fake Ada's existence but Ada herself. Carla, the fake Ada, betrays Simmons and cause more havoc spreading the virus from one country to another.

I love Jake and Chris's campaign. Jake's story slowly turns a little romantic. He and Sherry were hinted to be together at the end of the game. Despite the two going off to different paths, they're bound to meet up again someday. On Chris's side, I'm touched on how Piers Nivans sacrificed himself to save his captain. The graphics was the best among the rest of the game. The new HD platform installed on the PS4 (and not to mention our tv too) gave the the best (gruesome) experience there is to Resident Evil 6. I can't wait for 7 to come out. The next game would probably be about Jake Muller, as it is seen on every ending of everyone's campaign a cut scene of Jake returning to his mercenary life.
