Naruto Shippuden episode 480-481 review

Childhood

So we all know that Naruto has ended two years ago, but the anime still seems to continue. The series was supposedly to end after Naruto and Sasuke's last fight, however these two episodes decides to continue the story. We'll start off first at episode 480 entitled: NARUTO - HINATA. Incidentally the two main cast for this episodes will be husband and wife in the future. This episodes show events that took place before the entire series began. It's kind of like a prologue of the entire series where it shows Naruto being outcast from the village and Hinata struggling to become the heir of her clan. These specific details were only mentioned in the entire series, shown only a few times within the original plot but never emphasized.

Next is episode 481 or SASUKE - SAKURA. It's pretty much in the same boat as episode 480, it shows that Sasuke still lived happily with his family at that time. Before Itachi even became an ANBU he had spent more time with Sasuke. Since fans all know about Sasuke's past and such (since the entire series needs it for it's epic conclusion) I grew more interested towards Sakura's part. Throughout the entire series, Sakura's past was a mystery. All it mentioned that she stillhad a family but was actually the rebellious type which led to Sasuke getting angry at her and saying that at least she still had a family and what not. But that was in the very first season of the anime, no one knows a clue about Sakura before she even turned into a die hard Sasuke fan girl. This episode explains things in a much more detail.

Crushes

Kiss kiss fall in love!

I know everyone has been to a stage where they like someone. Whether it was someone from class, a popstar or even from the internet. I'm sure everyone has felt a spike of interest to a certain person. I'll admit, even I had some crushes. Though the saddest truth is when your crushes, crush you. I'm the type of girl who doesn't really show her emotions towards the person I like. So you may or may not know that I've already had a crush on you for years. People find that creepy, especially when they only think of you as a friend. Then there's my new hopeless situation where I'm infatuated by fictional animated characters. It's just like what they all say: "Real boys aren't perfect and perfect boys aren't real." everyone has flaws and though you may be infatuated with a certain person, all you will see is their good side.

You will tend to overlook the bad things they've done especially if you've had a crush on him for quite a while now. Love can't actually be  explained, it can only be experienced. The sad truth is hat once you've experienced it it's hard to get out of it especially if you're the love sick type. Those types will never get their crushes out of their minds. I'm really thankful that I'm not like that (though I am only to fictional characters).

Bugs

Small living creatures that lurks in the dark

I don't really hate bugs nor do I like them. They're pretty ok and some can look cool like beetles. Although bugs in general are pretty annoying to me. Specifically the cockroaches. Those little pests just sneak up in your house and then makes an appearance right after you turn on the lights. I'm not the type to easily let them go since they're pretty much hunting for food. I get a slipper and start going all exterminator on them. Mosquitoes are also on the annoying bugs list. They'll either fly around in your face completely ruining the chance of your victory in a staring contest or they'll secretly suck out the blood from your veins like the little vampires they are.

Once I see a mosquito, I'll become a one man audience clapping from a great orchestra performance. I have a lot of friends who are terrified of bugs, cockroaches to be exact. Even if it's just a tiny baby roach, they'll scream like it's the end of the world. There are bugs that terrify me as well like butterflies and bees. I just really don't like seeing butterflies up too close. All because of that one Spongebob episode about butterflies made me terrified of them. I just don't like bees in general, They're bigger than flies and they can actually hurt you with their stinger, so I keep my distance from them about a fifty mile distance from them,

DRAMAtical Murder review

I need a sequel, and I need one now!

DRAMAtical murder is based from it's visual novel also entitled DRAMAtical Murder. The anime series is based more from the story line or the plot while the game probably has other options as to a more romantic route. I wasn't disappointed in the least, the story was really satisfying for any empty stomach that craved for yaoi. Surprisingly the main hero didn't end up in a romantic relationship in the anime.

This boy's love series is actually quite deeper than you think. The story takes place in a further time in the future where holographic devices are commonly used. They have a parner or a companion called as an "AllMate" which can come in many forms. There's a dog model, a cat, a bird, almost any animal you wish to have as a companion. These artificial animals have the ability to speak and think on their own will. Allowing the AllMate too communicate with it's master gives them a stronger relationship.

In the story there's also a trending game called Rhyme. Rhyme is where your consciousness actually goes online to a server and battles with other players with their AllMight with them. Their AllMate is in their 'true form' when online, the appearances and abilities of AllMate differs. I somehow see this game as a means of escaping realty. Like it reflects that teenagers would most likely indulge themselves in a game where they could forget all about their problems.

The main protagonist, Aoba. Has the ability to enter a person's consciousness and can either destroy or save the person. Aoba uses his powers for the good and tries to save all of his friends. Aoba's power, Scrap, was used in a way where he can understand more of his friends. I really like this concept because it tells us that once we get to know our friends better, they'll be there for you no matter what.

Projects, School work and Stuff

Overloaded

When I was in my sixth grade I remember saying "Man, there's not much things to do at school lately. Not much projects or even any events." Things were pretty slow back then. We had all the time in the world so we lazed around. Now I kind of regret saying those words. I thought that last school year would be my last year for carrying heavy loads of concrete on my shoulders. It seems that this year I'm already crawling on the floor with the mountain of projects.

Last year was kind of like a starting station for the load of projects expressway. Teachers even tell us that we're gonna do ten times the projects in college. Do they want me to attend college or not? For the past few days there were tons of projects like interviews and graded recitations. Our exam has just ended today and I'm glad that hell week is finally over. I should start preparing on my next hell week since I feel that I have a failing grade in one of my exams. No gadgets for a week or so whoopee.

I'm just really glad that there's anime in my life. Without DRAMAtical Murder I would've lost myself again in the darkness of the so-called stress.

Senpai won't notice me!

Competitions

Poor senpai, he got hit in the face with a serve in the latest episode. I wish I could've done something! Kiyoko-san didn't even help him! I hate it that I have to rely on Kiyoko-san to look after senpai! There's nothing wrong with me ranting about senpai right? That's pretty normal I guess. We all have to talk about our frustrations one way or another. Just to let it all out y'know? I'm glad that not many people like my senpai. They may like him as an older brother or something like that, but I found myself infatuated the more I learned about him. True, I'm just like the rest, my first reaction to senpai wasn't the best. But on the following episodes it's as if I saw that senpai puts on a 'scary' face to put a wall around himself. Like he wants to keep others out. It hurts me to think that senpai is lonely despite being best friends with Noya-san.

In short, I found kindness in him. He may not be the best looking one there, but senpai will always be senpai. One of my classmates even made a ridiculous face when I showed her my senpai, how dare she! She's the same friend of mine who only goes for the handsome guys because they're handsome. She's a huge bitch and I won't even hesitate to tell her than one day. Then she'll get mad for being called a bitch when she herself also calls others a bitch. A huge hypocrite like her won't even get a decent boyfriend in the future. Although I have been doubting my love for senpai lately. Somehow Suga-san is slowly invading. Suga-san is kind and motherly-like the complete opposite of senpai. Senpai is more of like a delinquent in terms of personality but he's really kind and supportive to his friends and teammates.

Why should I doubt my love for senpai?! He's my one and only senpai and there's no changing that!

Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro Opening

Dirty (Nightmare)

English Translation:
Painful light, turning into a darkness blotting out the dazzling morning sun
Hiding and blending with the ugliness
There's no need for a bible

the DIRTY butterfly which influences all.
It has spread its wings

I believe this world is a lie,
everything has been deceived
Its too late to go back now
And dreams too are being trampled on

And so...

Showing the future's cinema of despair
The faded reel still turns even now
Without laughter and without tears
Projecting a withered and finished me
The heart's sky that had already closed
Can't even shout out loud any more
In the vast darkness nothing can be heard, but what's scary is being alone

I can't reach it, the prayers of yesterday

I believe weakness is bad,
everything has been damaged
By hiding the smiles,
everything has been deceived
Its too late to go back now
And dreams too are being trampled on

And so...

Showing the future's cinema of despair
The faded reel still turns even now
Without laughter and without tears
Projecting a withered and finished me
The heart's sky that had already closed
Can't even shout out loud anymore
In the vast darkness nothing can be heard, but whats scary is being alone

Showing the future's cinema of despair
The faded reel still turns even now
Just like a broken toy

I would just like to warn you that the part 'There's no need for a bible' will not be discussed in this article. I would just rant on and on about religious things that might take up the entire post. This song is very poetic and very symbolic. It's funny that it has absolutely nothing to do with the anime. The song it'self is pretty dark and negative despite it's fast beat and rockin' music. I couldn't find out why they chose this song or why they even decided to put it in an anime that doesn't even have a dark twist. The openings from Black Butler always have something to say about the main character. I can't completely agree or like the song because of the lyrics. Mainly the part where they say that there's no need for a bible disturbs me. Maybe it's correlating to Neuro being a demon and all.

This song would actually go well if it was a Kuroshitsuji opening. Unlike Black Butler, Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro's plot isn't as dark as it seems to be. In fact, Katsuragi and Neuro act very close to each other as if they're family. Neuro has a liking to tease and taunt Katsuragi, on the other hand Katsuragi lets him do whatever he wants seeing as Neuro is a powerful demon. Katsuragi trusts Neuro enough to the point where they act like siblings. Neuro may not be able to feel compassion and such but he too has grown close to Yako in the following episodes. In Ciel and Sebastian's case, they're stuck in a master-servant relationship that has very little trust but confidence in each other's ability.

Unravel Song Review

Awesome opening for an average anime

English Translation:
Oh, won’t you tell me,
won’t you tell me how it’s supposed to be?
Who is it that I see; who’s there inside of me?
I can’t be anything but broken,
broken on this earth;
And you don’t see a thing, just laugh for all your worth

I’m already all broken down,
and my breath starts to seize;
I pull, but it won’t come apart and you can see the truth freeze
Breaking apart, but I can’t drop;
I’m going mad, my mind can’t stop;
Then finding you made something pop

This world is so twisted and tangled around me,
I’m drifting and fading until you can’t see
Please, just leave me lost; no, don’t look back at me. No, don’t look at me
I never chose this world that someone decreed;
I just wanted you to be safe here from me
Just keep me in mind; the way I used to be, when I shone vividly

The solitude creeping around in strands until I’m weighted down,
Remembering in innocence my laughter in the distance
I can’t get free; no, can’t get free; no, can’t get free, no can’t get free; no, can’t get free, no, can’t get free;
it’s unravelling the world

My life here was stifled,
But somehow changed forever
The two of us are joined, but might die when we’re together
Breaking apart, but I can’t drop;
I’m going mad, my mind can’t stop;
You won’t be a blemished prop

This world is so twisted and tangled around me,
I’m drifting and fading until you can’t see
Please, just leave me lost; no, don’t look back at me. No, don’t look at me
In this lonely trap someone built I can’t be free
Before all the future unravels ’round me
Just keep me in mind; the way I used to be, when I shone vividly

Oh, don’t forget me;
please, don’t forget me;
please, don’t forget me;
please, don’t forget me

The fact that I’ve changed somehow leaves me paralyzed,
In this world I can’t control, this stranger’s paradise;
Just keep me in mind; yes, please remember me.

Oh, won’t you say;
oh, won’t you say;
oh, won’t you say;
who’s there inside of me?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have to say, this opening was one of the coolest I've ever heard in an anime. Despite the anime being really mediocre, the opening blew my mind. The song starts first in an unusual way. The singer was whispering the lyrics in a tune. Then the music gets all catchy after that. What surprised me the most was the english translation of the song. It is a beautiful lyric poetry with a sense of loneliness and anxiety. The song somewhat tells us of the main hero already. He become's one of the enemies, is scared of hurting his loved ones in the process and then decided to live in solitude. In the song, there was a part that was asking the listeners what was inside of him. This can mean the 'ghoul' or the enemy in the anime series that lived in the protagonist's body in the first episode.

Sure this song does tell a lot about the anime itself. Oddly, I still find the anime mediocre but the song itself was just beautiful. In the song it shows that he's slowly loosing his sanity as he slowly dives into the depths of madness. He may soon turn into another person but he still wants everyone to remember him as who he really is. I think that it's called unravelled most likely because he's 'unravelling' the world. He's knowing more of the world that he soon will forget about himself. Some things in the world might change his opinion or views on one point or another but just as he said back then to remember him, he wants people to know his 'past'-self rather than who he is now. Probably because he might have depicted that his own future wouldn't turn out to be the best.

Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro Review

Somewhat Like Kuroshitsuji

Finally an anime that I've watched further than the first few episodes. This Jump Stars anime is actually pretty similar to Black Buter. A demon and a human working together to solve mysteries. Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro is about Katsuragi Yako, the famous female highschool detective, and her 'student' Neuro. Katsuragi had met Neuro a few months after her father mysteriously died. Neuro appeared in her room and had offered his help. Since Neuro is a demon who 'eats' mysteries he was eager to 'eat' Katsuragi's mystery. The demon gave the girl a condition: That she would pose as the detective for him and grow popular. The more popular Katsuragi become, the harder the mysteries were sent to them.

This anime was actually released in 2008 but wasn't able to rise in popularity. Probably because of it's counterpart, Kuroshitsuji. Since Black Butler was popular at that time it was obviously out shined by the beautiful story constructed around Ciel Phantomhive. I first found this anime on my game J-Stars Victory Vs. Neuro was just a support in the game but it made me curious from what anime he came from. Even if Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro didn't have much of the passion I would usually look for in an anime, it's pretty entertaining to watch. With twenty five episodes aired, Majin Tantei Noujami Neuro is another anime that wouldn't be forgotten.

September 30 2016, Friday

She woke up to an unusual smell. That's odd, she doesn't remember anything. As her eyes lazily flutters open, the light blinded her momentarily. After a few seconds of adjusting, her eyes opened once again to see the world. She wasn't in her room, that's for sure. The foul smell of death wasn't always present at her doorstep. Her walls were much livelier before, humming a tune of soft mellow music. These walls were plain like a canvas waiting to be painted on. Attempting to pick herself up, the girl finally realizes how tired she felt despite having woken up minutes ago by the awful smell. After squirming a bit on her bed to get into a comfortable position she takes in more of her surroundings. A beeping sound came from the heart monitor beside her.

She was in a hospital. It should've been obvious enough with the white walls and the smell of chemicals in the air but her mind was not functioning properly after being woken up from what seemed like an eternity. Everything was just so white she was starting to feel sick of it. Just then a beautiful lady came in with a warm smile. Though it looked more of a forced smile from all the stress she's going through ad if you look closely her eye bags would be more prominent than you think. "Good, you've awaken. Are you hungry?" Her voice may sound sweet but don't be deceived, the girl heard an undertone of annoyance from it. Right now the girl couldn't think of anything, the nurse's voice was delivered to her but not her words, there was only one thing on the girl's mind: 'How did I get here?'

Sempai

Obsessed? Nah, just devoted.

What's a sempai? a sempai is a japanese term for an upper class man whom you respect. And I'd like to talk about my sempai. My sempai is very energetic. He may loo scary at first but he's actually really kind. He may like to taunt others but that's what actually makes me like him. He makes a 'scary' face and taunts the enemy or others in general and I can't help but squeal in delight every time I imagine him being possessive over me~! Sempai may not be the best looking in his team but looks doesn't matter . I've seen how kind and how strong he is during games and practices. Although there is someone trying to steal my sempai...

She's beautiful and kind plus she's the manager of sempai's team. I can't help but actually hate her this time. I'm jealous. I admit that. I hate that feeling. The problem is I can't harm her. I can't hurt her because sempai has a crush on her. It breaks my heart to see that every time she comes in the gym, sempai and Noya-sempai fawn over her immediately. Sure she can play well but she doesn't even do much in practices or in games!

I don't now what sempai saw in her. Sure she's beautiful and all but she doesn't even give sempai attention! It annoys me to see my sempai doing his best just for her to look his way but she doesn't even give a damn! Forget about her being kind, she's a total snob who doesn't even deserve sempai! Sempai will love me and he will be mine. I'll do whatever it takes to get sempai's attention. I'm way better than their manager! 'll even take good care of sempai! Sempai is mine and only mine. Who's my sempai you ask? Well t's Tanaka Ryuunosuke!

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Review

Family are always there for you

Another lovely game on the Ps4 and surprisingly it's not an anime. Brothers is a story about two brothers. The story takes place with the father getting sick, both the little brother and the big brother takes him to a doctor. The doctor of that village says that they must go on a quest to find the 'Water of Life' to cure their father. The two boys set out on their journey and the game officially starts.

Naia (older brother) on the left and Naiee (younger brother) on the right
Brothers is a puzzle game where one player controls both siblings. It's a bit confusing at first since the left joystick and the L2 button are used for the big brother while the right joystick and the R2 button are used for the little brother while L1 and R1 buttons are used to move the camera. Despite it's lack of controls and proper tutorial, I found it fun to indulge myself in a whole new game that I have no idea about. I'm really not quite fond of surprises because I hate the feeling of not being informed, whether it's my birthday or not, I still hate getting surprised.

Though I did enjoy the moments where I had to solve a puzzle in the game what I can interact with and later found some easter eggs in the game. What I loved most of all are the graphics, the music and the story kine. Nothing beats a good story line of a game. Throughout the entire game we slowly come to know more about the big and the little brother. We found out that the little brother can't swim, while the big brother is easily seduced by women. I don't want to spoil anything but that's all I can say for now.

Earning

Evening came quickly. Her lame excuse of a father picked her up from school. She was exhausted from their Physical Education. It was Volleyball and to be honest she didn't expect herself to perform good. Surprisingly she was even praised by her teacher for having some sort of gaming sense? She didn't know what that was but she took it as a compliment. She felt more comfortable with Volleyball since she and her little group of friends play the sport from time to time. She left the car and open the gates to the garage. It was weird that her parents are still together despite them not feeling any relationship at all anymore. Maybe she shouldn't have been so clingy that day.

Who could blame her? She was innocent and afraid to loose both her parents. Ultimately her goal was to use her parent's love an kindness as an opportunity for her survival. After getting a job she'll leave the house with no hesitation. She always hated it there. It didn't feel like home to her ever since she was a baby. Now that they moved from their grandmother's house, she still didn't feel at home with their new location. Ever since she was born she had felt jealous eyes on her, she has seen flying chairs and had her ears bleed from angry shouting. It was no wonder why she was such a weak child.

Afternorm

Today's lunch was a bit lonely. The shadow's presence doesn't count as the best companion to eat with. Now it seemed like news spread and now everyone's avoiding her at school, it was to be expected. It was the same shadow from this morning, the same size and height, the same beady eyes. She was starting to get nervous, is it finally her time to die? Will she finally see Alison again? It was quite the opposite really, she was supposed to die not Alison. Those two were innocent that day. The day of death, the day where someone would have to die within that school.

Inevitable is such a negative word. But there are many things that were inevitable, like Alison's death. The man was strong, too strong. By the time she returned with the police, Alison's corpse remained in place of the murderer. It was horrifying. Seeing her best friend's corpse made her nauseous. Her funeral was held a few days after and school was suspended for a week. Apparently the killer was still around the area so people were advised to stay indoors. A week is too short, much too short for her. She could't forget it. Alison's last words were still stuck in her mind.

September 27 2016, Tuesday

Mourning

She can feel it. The stares of her classmates burning through her skin. She can almost hear their whispers and she knew exactly what they were talking about. Alison Porter died. She witnessed it. Her dead was very quick and not too painless. It was inevitable. It wasn't her fault. No one sat next to her that morning. No one talked to her. No one asked her if she was okay. No one was there for her. No one but those things. They stuck by her like glue. They were naturally silent creatures, she hasn't heard them make a sound that is. She concluded that they were mute. It wasn't like she was seeking for their comfort, no. She could never seek comfort from those things.

There was one shadow that stuck by her. Almost as if it was comforting her. She ignored it's presence as usual but this shadow was persistent. Usually after twenty minutes or so they would have went on their way but this shadow has stuck to her ever since she woke up today. She would glance at it from time to time then ultimately ignore it but it was starting to disturb her a bit. She has to act normal, after all, today is a school day.

My Hero Academia Review

Another 'Super' Anime

Main Characters of My Hero Academia
Another new anime that I actually like, what a surprise. It's concept is a lot like One Punch Man. It's based around the world of 'super heroes'. In the anime, 80% of the world's population are born with some kind of power. They call this power as their 'Quirk'. Our main hero, Izuku Midoriya ironically doesn't have any quirk despite both his parents having one. He dreams of becoming a hero even if he is quirkless. He then meets his favorite hero All Might and was then chosen as his next successor. All Might, the number one hero, had seen the kindness and heroic act that Izuku had displayed in town when his frenemy was captured by a villain.

The anime may sound very mainstream with a simple plot but the passion, the emotion, the drama, the screenwriting were just so astounding. I was able to relate myself with the main character because he's depicted as a weak scrawny-looking boy who can't stand up for himself when being bullied by his frenemy. We both didn't have anything at first and would always be the easy target to bully. When All Might had granted Izuku his quirk, I saw a reflection of myself discovering the wonders of art. I love drawing, and Izuku loves heroes. I want to be an artist he wants to be a hero.

J Stars Victory Vs + Review

An Awesome Anime Collaboration

J Stars Victory Vs +
Take two of your favorite shows and put them together in a game. Wouldn't that be awesome? Well J Stars Victory Vs made that dream come true. Naruto, One Piece, Hunter X Hunter, Samurai X and
many more of these awesome anime are under the company of Shonen Jump. Shonen jump has been running throughout all the years without really being openly known throughout the world. I've neglected this game after being a bit disappointed by it's cut scenes. But now the entire game just seemed different in my eyes today.

The computer animation of the game were on a very unique but different level compared to our other games. For example, Naruto looks a little off as well as Sasuke and Madara. Other than the Naruto characters in the game I guess everyone else seemed fine. Even Ace looked more realistic than how he looked like in the previous One Piece games. Comparing it by animation it's no where as smooth as Naruto Shippuden Storm 4. The way character's get hurt and are down on the ground is still a bit rough. I guess it's pretty okay considering that it would be harder for them to animate every single character in the game.

New and Old Anime part 2

Old Anime

There are a lot of popular anime back in the day where the anime community was just starting, when the fans haven't really lost their minds and went crazy for the anime. I'd like to start with Samurai X. The anime has caught the heart of men and young women. The story revolves around the wandering samurai, Himura Kenshin. He helps a girl, the girl then offers him a place to stay and that's practically where their love story began. Kenhin has an aloof personality, he's carefree and very kind. Not much was said about his past but it only revealed the fact that he used to kill mercilessly with his reversed sword. Once he has gotten out of that era, he then became the wandering samurai. Stories like these make things more interesting. Every episode shows more facts about the characters.

Next is Hunter X Hunter. It's a more unrealistic type of anime but that just adds up to the twist. A young twelve year old boy sets out on a journey to find his father who left him at birth. Gon, the protagonist, concludes that being a hunter would be a step closer to finding his dad. In the Hunter X Hunter series, hunters are a common thing and even a job. Being a hunter gives you privileges to access information or transportation and the like. If someone wants to quit being a hunter they can sell their hunters licence which would usually cost a lifetime of money. I like that there is a goal in this story, he aims to find his father and the 'unofficial ending' was that he did find his father. Though the manga is still ongoing, sadly the story no longer focuses on Gon in the next part.

I'd like to throw in One Piece next. One Piece is an anime series that I'v followed since the sixth grade. Up until now the story never gets boring. Luffy, the hero, embarks on  journey to become the Pirate King. With his kind and silly character, Luffy has no problems in making friends, and getting his crew. Everyone in Luffy's crew have a thing in their past that gives them their unique personality. Alongside One Piece, let's not forget about Naruto. Naruto is also another long time anime series that has just ended last year. Naruto, a twelve year old boy, aims to become hokage, the leader of his village but everyone thinks that he can't be a leader. Four years later he then proves to the people that he's not some cursed child and saves his village from an attack. Slowly he's then being known around the continent. The series ended with Naruto being the seventh hokage of their village and happily lives with his wife and two children.

I almost forgot to mention Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. This is a remake of the first series of Full Metal Alchemist. Personally it's better than the first one released because Brotherhood follows the manga. Most anime are based from it's manga, though some like Erased, Sengoku Basara and some others follow a light novel or is just an anime itself. Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood is about two young boys learning alchemy. In the anime Alchemy is something like magic. They can literally recreate and destroy things if their have the right transmutation circle. In the first episode of the anime it shows that their mother died from an illness and they wanted to bring her back alive. Resurrecting someone is a taboo in alchemy. In the end Edward, the older brother, lost his left leg. While his younger brother, Alphonse, lost his entire body. Edward sacrifices his right arm to bring his brother's soul back and fused it to an armor. Edward then got a mechanical leg and arm from their friend who was a mechanic. The two set out on a journey to get their bodies back.

There are also newer anime that has caught my eye such as Haikyuu, Kamisama Hajimemashita, Ouran Highschool Host Club, Erased, Garden of Words (movie) and Death Parade. I can't say much about these anime but they have caught my attention and I did enjoy them. Their the shorter anime series with either twelve episodes or twenty four episodes and two seasons. They're also the anime that I enjoy that have less action.

New and Old Anime

Are The New Anime Getting Worse?

Okay, so there's a bunch of stuff I'd like to clarify. Not all new anime are bad but there are a number of them that I just don't see any potential in. Unlike the older ones, like One Piece, Naruto, Hunter X Hunter and Samurai X, those were the old anime that made a huge hit. Maybe even Voltes 5 but I'm not quite sure, I'm not really interested in robot action. It's just that the newer anime have lost it's essence of story. The plot doesn't really pull you into the show. These are only my opinion, and I know that a lot of people are going to disagree with me and would probably be hunting for my head, but this has gotten too far.

I can already imagine the amount of fangirls who'll be out for my head. First on the list is Tokyo Ghoul. It's an anime that got popular last year and probably up until now but I don't get why they like it. I've tried but then stopped at the third episode, I just can't continue it anymore. The cringe is real, I could barf at the plot line. Though I have to give it some consideration, it's only a two season anime both with twelve episodes, so the story line should pace faster than usual. I was just so thrown back at the first episode. It's like almost all the cliche anime ever made. The boy falls in love with this person, then in the same episode their loved ones reveals themselves to be mankind's enemy, ghouls. She injured him, died and the boy went through phasing and acted like a complete wimp who couldn't accept his fate.

Then it gets better (worse), the boy then finds out that he too is a 'ghoul' and has to live his life in secret as he also wants to kill ghouls with his newfound abilities. Then the character development was so bad that I wonder about girls nowadays and their preference with men. The boy turns out to be a complete psychopath. Typical. And most of his fangirls just go for his looks, typical. It's so bad that I couldn't finish an episode without predicting the next scene.

Next on the list is a pretty harmless anime but annoys me to no end. Chunibyou or the Eighth Grade Syndrome. In the anime it shows that their last year of middleschool (grade eight) is spent by the student's imaginations going wild. To the point where they act like they're in a game. Some may think it's cute and all and I can totally agree that this is a childish thing to do because they're only eight graders (this only occurs to anime, if I ever see an eighth grader acting like a child I'm going to slap them-). Then in their first year of highschool (grade 9) they lose their passion and continue on their lives as a normal human being. But like all shows, there's a twist.

There's still a person who still has the Eighth Grade Syndrome. And not to mention that the character is a girl. How embarrassing. It's so humiliating to see someone as old as you acting like a complete fool just to escape reality. It's absurd. I didn't finish the anime either, it's cute and all but jeez. Wake up this is reality you're facing, you can't live like that.

Lastly there's the new season of D. Gray-Man called D. Gray-Man Hallow. It's pretty shocking that Allen and the rest changed uniforms, have new accessories, hairstyles and even new voice actors. I tried to disregard those things in the new season because I waited for four years just for the new season to come out. D. Gray-Man kind of throws you off your chair with information being bombarded to you in every episode. So many things are happening that could've happened in the first season, I guess the first season was only a warm up to let the viewers feel comfortable around the anime's story line. But that's the only thing I wanted to complain about this. It's still an awesome anime.

As for the anime that I would recommend, I'll just put that up in a separate post. So part two will be coming up next week

I See Shadows

It was another normal day for anyone. People doing their usual routines, the scorching sun beaming it's rays down on the city of Valenzuela. The tiring event called school passed by in a flash. Though, it would have been faster if she were to sit in a corner and draw. The pencil scratching on the paper and the way her molded eraser easily deforms is one of the few things she liked about drawing. It was going to be her career in the future- well, she hoped. Her group of friends or rather her barkada would occasionally praise her for her works, though she knew that each one of them has a unique talent of their own. She would rather stay in the classroom and dive into the depths of her imagination if it wasn't for this.

A baking activity. She had no problems with cooking, none at all. The girl only disliked the idea of baking with a group. Her teamwork is poor, to the point where she'd rather do everything herself. But she didn't have the guts to say that out loud. Students from her school are very strong-willed and stubborn. They would do anything and everything they wanted whenever and wherever. It annoyed her to no end, but she had endured her classmates personalities for more than a few years now, so now's not the time to complain. It was just like every year, though with more concern than that last. They were doing all the cooking themselves. Did she complain? No, she did not. She didn't even say a word. Did she want to cook as well? She did want to cook. She wanted to show them that she can do it as well.

Did she cry out for help? No, she did not. It was a few weeks back when she started seeing them. The things her classmates would label as 'monsters' or 'ghosts'. She didn't know what to label them. They were all harmless. The shadows, as she would like to call them, only appear beside certain people, move on to another or stay in an isolated place. They didn't have the appearance of a human or any mythological creatures that were imagined by man. They were just one tall shadow with two white dots for eyes. They do have mouths, yes. She knows that they have mouths very well. After all she has seen them eat. It was accidental, a complete coincidence. On her way home with her father one night, she had saw it eating something that looked like a corpse of a stray dog in the playground.

It scared her. The poor animal looked like it had died of starvation and passed on with it's corpse in the grass. Other than the decaying smell and the rotting flesh of the animal, it was the shadow that bothered her the most. it's white beady eyes were red and it's mouth was coated in blood. Slowly it had leaned over to devour the dog once again. The sound was that of wet slippers being sloshed in the mud, but the image was gruesome. It was dark, so she could not see very well, nor did she want to see the horrifying event clearly. Swiftly, she ran inside the house (her father had finished parking) and could not sleep that night.

Everyone has a body clock and depending on the person's routines, their body adjusts. It just so happened that it was one of those few nights where her body would automatically wake up. She knows that she's awake, but she refuses to open her eyes in fear that the same monster would be right in front of her. Feeling around her bed, she could not find her cellphone and had no choice but to open her eyes to look for it. Thankfully it was just at the edge of the bed, she must've kicked it while she was asleep. Relieved and satisfied, she placed her device under her pillow and laid down. It was silent, save for the electric fan. Her favorite red curtains fluttering beside her due to the fan's wind.

It was quick, but in the corner of her eyes she sore she saw the same shadow from the playground (which was two blocks away from her home) staring at her with white eyes. They weren't red anymore, but the staring made her uncomfortable. Luckily, it was outside and had only been staring at her blankly, though the unnerving thought of it passing through walls left her awake that night.

A Darker Side

The World Today

Normally us mortals have likes and dislikes. Things that we prefer and do not. Us as an individual has their own right to say those things out loud. But what if there came to a conclusion wherein you are so used to doing things that you hate, you start liking them? Where all the things that you hate to do, you need to do? It's definitely not peer pressure. Not the majority of the audience's preference but rather as orders from a higher-up. Orders that you now you will dislike it but because that person is your higher-up, and a respected one at that, you'd have to feign enthusiasm just so that the weight on your shoulders lifts up a bit.

Then there are times where their calculating eyes never leave you. And the most humiliating thing is when making a mistake in front of them and they're not correcting your errors. As a person give with the most responsibilities and high expectations, there would always be a sense of pride to now that people have the knowledge that you do your best. Then again, their orders always seem to be pulling down your confidence. Anxiety for the failure of the task, refusing or sometimes even eating your mentality from the inside and out. Their stony stares burn through the back of your head and you know that you're being evaluated for each and every actions done.

Simple f you don't obey you're a bad child. If you obey, you will earn their trust and soon use them for your own resources. Everything comes with a price doesn't it? Obey. Obey and don't talk back, don't comment, don't bring up or show any emotions, just act like their loyal robot who serves their every need until the society itself declares that you are finally legal of age. Maybe then you can be free. Doing all the things you want. But then again, what is a loyal robot without it's master

That's why I've come to love the things I've despised the most.

Kamisama Hajimemashita (Kamisama Kiss)

A Cheesy Anime Love Story

I had nothing to do weeks before the exam started. I reviewed my notes well and grew bored while I was at home. I decided to watch some anime just so that I could catch up on things. What better way to refresh anime knowledge than to watch the usual anime love stories? I just had to pick Kamisama Hajimemashita. I was curious to see why this anime grew popular a few years back. I found out why when I saw the handsome faces of the characters there. Sure enough I too grew a crush on one of them.

Main Cast of Kamisama Hajimemashita
I didn't expect too much action since it was a love story. I didn't know how cheesy it was until Nanami, the heroine, suddenly thinks about her feelings for Tomoe, her fox familiar. The story then went worse when we find out that Tomoe doesn't really hold any feelings for Nanami. The second season though, shows Tomoe's growing feelings for his master. Which again is really cheesy. The two still haven't confessed to one another and don't even know if they really held feelings for each other or if their feelings are true. I don't really like Nanami and Tomoe together, I want Nanami and Jiro instead, although that will defeat the purpose of the entire anime series. Jiro is Kurama's older brother back at the Kurama mountain where all the tengu lives.

Now I don't want to rant about my crush in this series, the only clue I could give to you is that he's a snake. That's all it takes for an anime fan to know who my crush is. To those who don't really watch anime or know Kamisama Kiss, It's Mizuki.

Broken Keyboard

Lazy Updates

I wasn't able to continuously post for the past weeks, not because I'm busy, but because the keyboard is broken. We have two laptops, one is a tablet and the other is a standard laptop. The standard laptop has 8,I,K and the , broken. That's why I have to type in the tablet just so that the broken keys won't interfere with my post. We then bought a separate keyboard for the standard laptop and things went better from then on. Until the letters B and N broke on the keyboard. It was like I needed four hands just to type on that laptop. I then used the tablet so that my words won't have any missing letters and so that I could type comfortably.

A week ago, Wednesday to be exact, the tablet has gone missing and I grew too lazy to type on the standard keyboard because I would have to keep switching keyboards so that I could form the word I desired. I posted two (I think) last week and couldn't even push myself to do the third because of the difficulty in typing. My mother was so worried because I was the one who lost the tablet. I had just placed it behind the driver's seat and once we got home it disappeared. We checked every where, from my grandmother's house to my uncle's church but it couldn't be found. My mother got really down during those times and lost all hope in finding it. I knew to myself that the tablet was just there, like it was so close to use yet we're too blind to see it.

This morning, I was fixing my things to get prepared for the first day at school for the second quarter. I had to take out some things so that I could properly dispose of the crumpled papers inside. When I lifted my bag, I grew suspicious. It was quite heavy even when I removed all my stuff inside. Guess what I found in my bag.

Death Parade

Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell

This anime was introduced to me by my classmate. I wasn't sure if it was good or not until she told me a short summary of an episode. I thought that it was a pretty creative idea so I decided to watch it since I finished Kamisama Kiss. In the end I liked the anime and still have two more episodes to go before finishing it.

When people die they are either sent to heaven or hell. In Death Parade that doesn't seem to be the case. When people die they go to Quindecim. An arbiter will be the one to judge if they will go to heaven or hell or in Quindecim terms: Reincarnation or the void. Once two souls enter the in-between space, they will have to play a game in order for the arbiter to judge their personality. It was a pretty interesting concept especially when the games they play have a lot more gruesome twists to it.

Main Cast of Death Parade
Arbiters aren't your ordinary humans. They have no emotion, and are merely puppets created for judging souls for eternity. One cannot quit being an arbiter, and an arbiter cannot easily die for it will make them too close to being human. These were the rules of an arbiter, but our main hero Decim, is an arbiter created with human emotions. Decim encounters a soul who remembers how they died, when they clearly weren't supposed to because they lose their memories from the shock of their deaths, he has no clue on how to judge her and was unable to convince her to play any game.

Nona, the greatest arbiter, favored Decim and decided to help him by erasing the girl's memories and making her as Decim's assistant. This is how the anime went on for a while until Chiyuki gained her memories back and her body slowly starts turning into a mannequin, for human souls cannot last long in the in-between. The final two episodes will decide on Chiyuki's fate, will she turn into a mannequin? or will Decim finally lets his emotions go and finally judge her?

Birthday Wake

Happy Birthday To Me

Oh birthdays, the celebration of the day of your birth. We used to shower in presents from our parents, our aunts and uncles, our godmothers and godfathers. It was heavenly back then. Let's take a look at the present. Are you still receiving gifts? Do you still have someone to celebrate your birthday with? Did people greet you on your birthday? Well at least you have those. This year, I didn't get any.

It was quite ironic that my birthday lands on 'Buwan ng Wika', a month where we celebrate our language and culture, when I can't speak our language fluently. I was raised in an english speaking environment and grew up knowing english only. Now in Buwan ng Wika, our school holds programs and events every year on a special date. Although, all these stuff had to happen on the 26th friday, which was my birthday. I didn't mind it, it was cool. This way, no one would have to greet me with annoying 'happy birthdays' then ask if I'm ever going to hold a party. I know they're just greeting for the food.

I wasn't in a bad mood then. We had finished our dance performance and my mom came early. We asked permission from the head of the highschool facility and went on our way home. I had already prepared myself for relaxation and quietness. But that dream was easily shattered when my mom said that we'll be attending my uncle's wake for the fourth time. This instantaneously brought my mood down. I have nothing to do in my uncle's wake. I would draw in a corner or read or write fanfictions. There wasn't any internet at my church so I can't chat with my friends either.

What's more is that my family is busy. Sure they greeted my a happy birthday, but that day didn't even felt like a birthday anymore. It was such an uneventful day. Quite depressing isn't it? I can't exactly blame my uncle either because he died on the 22nd, monday. It was my first time experiencing a lame birthday that made me want to regret ever being born.

Blogs

Another stress reliever

A post about a blog, that's somehow ironic. Even though if it doesn't make sense please bear with my rants for a bit. Lately as you've noticed that my posts gets weirder and weirder then suddenly back to normal again. I could say that this has become one of my stress relieving works. My usual outlet would be drawing, reading, or even writing. Although, this time I've grown tired of writing stories. Stressed out to comprehend what I'm reading and my inspiration has worn out to draw.

I've then seen blogs as an opportunity to literally type down all the things n my head. I'm the kind of person who's quiet but has a lot of things in their mind. Especially when most things aren't the words to say to another human being. I had once thought to myself "What if I told all this to another person, what would their reaction be?". There are many ways to react to my thoughts, and majority of it is negative. I had decided to shut myself away from the world ever since I've realized that I'm not normal. I guess I'm a little too imaginative. Well in the end, as long as the heavy feeling in my chest is gone, I guess that's all that matters.

Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) review

Chapter 118: That Butler, Remodeling

Another fantastic chapter drawn and written by Yana Toboso. The truth is finally revealed as well as Ciel's next move! The secret of this case was so simple!

Chapter 118 That Butler, Remodeling cover
The story continues with Agni, prince Soma's butler, barging in the conversation. Elizabeth had escaped from the manor, although Sebastian wasn't so surprised since he knows about it. Ciel grew frustrated that Sebastian didn't even chase after her. The butler then explains that it is because something has greatly captured Elizabeth's heart which results to her acting that way. As Ciel pondered on their next move, there was a ruckus downstairs.

Angrily, Ciel went to investigate only to find A sea of children had filled the first floor of the building. Price Soma and Agni explains that they're having another one of their 'Food Drives'. The prince was explaining that he holds up Food Drives every once in a while in order to help the poor children at the streets of London. Agni was very well aware of Ciel's rage and had tried to silence his master. When Ciel asks the children why they kept coming back, their reply was that the food was great and that the people were nice to them. That's when the idea struck Ciel like a bullet. He had laughed at himself for not seeing the obvious.
The Phantom Five making their grand entrance
Every fourth Saturday, a show is performed to entertain the guests. But this time, Ciel's plan had already begun. A new group of boys stole the spotlight calling themselves the "Phantom Five". They immediately stole the hearts of the audience. Soon we're shown that Ciel had bought the place already stating that he only spent half of what he expected to pay. Which concludes that Ciel is probably a billionaire, or maybe even richer. He just bought a large old abandoned theater like it was nothing! He had also renovated and remodeled it as well. Giving his new establishment's name as "Funtom Music Hall". Ciel had related the case to prince Soma's Food Drive. If Ciel had something even better than the 'stars' then he could win the people over the fortuneteller. At least that was what Ciel concluded and to think that it was so simple as well.

The chapter ends with the fortune teller looking into Ciel's window helplessly. To me it feels lie the case was far too easy. I'm pretty sure that the fortune teller won't back down anytime soon, but who knows? We haven't seen much of Undertaker in the previous chapters. All  can say is that the suspense is killing me.

Naruto Shippuden Episode 470 Review

Connecting Thoughts

I don't think I've ever made a Naruto Shippuden Review before. Probably because of it's 75% amount of fillers and extras in the series. I waited for this episode and it finally came out. Let's get started.

It continues where the battle was last seen. Naruto and Sasuke in the midst of battling Kaguya. They're now in a snowy and icy dimension and Zetsu suggests that Kaguya separates the two to make it easier for her to kill them. Sasuke was sent to another dimension in an instant, leaving Naruto to face Kaguya alone. The new intro starts and the story resumes.
Obito's determination to die for ninja history
Obito's plan is to retrieve Sasuke from the other dimension. The problem was that he didn't have sufficient chakra to get there and back. Sakura and Naruto's clone offers him their chakra and awaits for Kaguya to open another portal. Naruto continues his battle while thinking of a plan to get Sasuke back. Naruto follows Kaguya into another dimension. Apparently this dimension directly leads to all five different dimensions Kaguya has created. She decided to kill Naruto there and ended his life. Sakura and Obito return from their hiding spot which was in Obito's dimension. They were relieved when they saw that it was only Naruto's clone who got killed and the real Naruto was still back in the icy dimension where Kakashi is.

A short scene of Sakura's determination was shown in the episode. A few flashbacks of her wanting to get stronger. Kaguya then returns to where she and Naruto had last fought and was surprised to see the clones still up and about despite killing the original. We were shown that the original Naruto wasn't the one who entered but his clone who was with Sakura and Obito. The clone offered to stay behind as a distraction while Obito and Sakura hide and thus why Zetsu mistook the clone as the original. While the real Naruto distracts Kaguya, Obito and Sakura went on to finding Sasuke as Obito opens different portals and tries to sense for the Uchiha there.

In the next scene Sasuke is seen to be in a dessert dimension. Meanwhile Zetsu points out that the original Naruto was the only one who had the 'truthseekers' around him. I'm just guessing that those are the orbs that float around him. Obito and Sakura finally found Sasuke but Obito had overused his Mangekyo Sharingan and had to rest for a bit. Luckily Sasuke had gotten in before the portal closed and caught Sakura who's fading in and out of consciousness from lack of chakra. Sasuke explains to Obito how he got there with his new abilities and the episode ends there.
Sasuke catching Sakura before she falls
The story is getting better so far. It's been following the manga this time and hope it actually finishes the series this time rather than stalling around with more fillers. This episode satisfies the Naruto fan's quench for an official episode. The last episode was pretty interesting. It was a filler but I guess it was inspired by Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto Spin-off they gave at the entrance of the Naruto Museum in Japan. I heard it's only given to a few people but contents show that Kakashi's face was revealed. In the last episode, we were shown a full blown picture of Kakashi's face. I think it's classified as a filler but at the same time I don't think so because Kakashi's real face was right there.

One Piece Episode 751 Review

Curtain-up on a New Adventure! Arriving at the Phantom Island, Zou!

It's been a while since I've made a One Piece Review... Well it's because the previous episodes were fillers. I guess the animators wanted to stall time and fill in a short gap in Luffy and Bartolomeo's adventure... Anyway's we're an episode late and I'll do the latest episode review next week. Now, on to the show!
One Piece Episode 751 title screen
We're showed a flashback of how Luffy got his Straw Hat. As we all know, Shanks, the pirate Luffy looks up to, saved him from a sea monster and lost his arm in the process. He then gave Luffy his Straw Hat and made a promise to return it to him once they see each other again. Luffy also promises to become the Pirate King while doing so. Our flashback ends as Bartolomeo was actually re-telling the story to his crew. He said that he got this information when he interviewed Luffy. Next he told the story of how Luffy managed to get Zoro, his swordsman and right hand man, in his crew. How they recruited Usopp, Nami, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Franky and Brook was also recalled in the story by short memorable scenarios of the older One Piece episodes.

You could say that it's an episode of the past. It shows the most touching scenes of the anime and reminds the viewers of how much the Straw Hat Pirates have been to. They aren't indestructible, they're just strong. But even the strong had passed through some phases of their lives to become how strong they are now. It's not really an episode I would recommend to those who are following the One Piece series, but it's a definitely must watch episode for those who are only familiar to the anime. This episode will give them the essence and important of 'nakama' which in other term means family, friends, team mates, and the like.

Eighteen minutes later, Luffy is finally shown on screen as the Barto Club was struck by lightning. Obviously nothing happened to our rubbery protagonist but I can't say that for sure on the Barto Club's side. We're shown a short scene in the Marine Base that they were talking about this pirate who claims to be Whitebeard's son. Although that's not sure yet, for the fact was Whitebeard has no children. We are left with an unclear answer. A week after leaving Dressrosa, the Barto Club advances to Zou island at a calm rate.

We're then shown the island of Zou to be a giant Elephant walking in the ocean of the New World. The name zou was applied literally. In this case zou means elephant, and the cities and structures were on the back of the withered elephant. It was revealed that the elephant has been alive for more than a thousand years, walking and walking and never stopping. Trafalgar Law explained to them that there's a tribe on Zou island who hates humans. People who have set foot on the island were never to be heard from again. The episode ends with Luffy's astonished reaction.

Nothing much really happened in the episode, I guess they were wasting time again by putting flashbacks for eighteen minutes. Not really an enjoyable episode for those who still follow One Piece.

Otaku Expo 2016

Excited? Or not...

It was my first time going to an anime convention. To be honest I'm a little disappointed. I was excited yet nervous at first but I was also quite shy around my two relatives who went with me. I couldn't just act all hyper or fangirl over every little thing. They know me as someone cool, composed and prideful. If I were to suddenly scream at every cosplayer I see and have them take a picture with me, I would die of embarrassment. I could do it in front of my friends, but seriously speaking, these are people who I haven't been with for more than six months. We're not updated with each others lives. We're close but then everything takes time to adjust, so when I adjusted to their atmosphere, it was hard for me to stay composed when in front of anime.

My friends were there. I greeted them and everything was fine. They were the hyper bunch. But they just didn't seem to fit the mood with my relatives and I, it was like we were the ones to adjust. It was frustrating switching to one personality to another. Also, I was only given a thousand pesos. That amount of money is not even enough to satisfy you in the expo. I spent money on food and my entrance fee. And surely it was the food that drained my money. I was only able to get a plain and single notebook. It was at a cheap price (100 pesos is already one of the cheapest prices there) so I just had to get it. Unlike the headphones, I was debating on whether I was getting them or not, believe me it was a tough choice.

It was actually quite funny that I created a list of things that are available and eliminated all the things I couldn't. There were shirts and jackets, keychains and bookmarks, figurines and cosplay items. But every one of them would either have a very disappointing comment from my mother or are just too expensive. First I thought of the keychains, artworks and bookmarks, but then I immediately disregarded that idea because my mother will say that I could just draw that. Then I thought of accessories, headphones or maybe even a bag. I almost got Zoro's earrings but once I saw that you just clip it on, I decided to move on to the next item. I did want new headphones. I use these cheap earphones that I'm tired of. I really do want the headphones but my mom will complain and say that I still have these working earphones.

I thought about getting a shirt or the jacket. I was so excited to get the jacket of either Karasuno or Nekoma but then was highly disappointed when the price was above a thousand pesos. I deflated in defeat as the shirts didn't have any good design on them either. There was this one shirt that says "Notice me Senpai" which is really cool, but then my mom would tell me that I already have too much clothes in my closet. So in the end I didn't buy anything decent. I was rethinking about getting myself the washable hair spray or the colored contact lenses, then again my mother would scold me for buying the colored contacts and I can't use the hair spray either because our school is against it.

To conclude my first anime expo trip. It was boring. Maybe because I couldn't fangirl in front of my relatives. Oh well, I'll just make it up to the next Expo on the 21 of August. Surely by then, the only thing on my mind will be the test results.

Volleyball (Feat. Haikyuu!!)

Wow, I've been getting into sports recently.

Main characters for the anime
I've played volleyball longer than basketball. It was our P.E class so I couldn't refuse. It was the first ball sport I play decent in, so I guess I liked it. I just didn't like how my arms would hurt the next day and how it would affect my handwriting and drawings. I was okay in receiving, bad at blocking and even worse in spiking. the only thing I found enjoyable was serving. The feeling of the ball launching from your hand from the underhand serve. The feeling of accomplishment every time the ball would get into the other side of the net. I loved it all.

After our P.E changed I didn't engage much in volleyball until recently. My friends have been bugging me to watch the anime Haikyuu!! for a while. I decided to watch it, after horribly realizing my mistake of watching Tokyo Ghoul, and I loved it. Now don't get me wrong, Tokyo Ghoul is a very popular anime. The problem for me is the first episode. I didn't feel like I was in the anime. It felt like I was a by stander just watching a crazy lady forcefully feed a poor looking ugly boy. Seriously can't this anime make more sense?! it's only the first two episodes! Moving on...

Karasuno High School Volleyball players
Haikyuu was just the medicine to cure my cringe. It had the one element I was looking for. Passion. Tokyo Ghoul may have some passion sooner or later in the story but what I like about sport anime more is because they have had that passion for a long time. I loved Hinata's way of describing how he spikes. "I want to see the view on the other side" and for that to happen he has to "Get past this wall" which is spiking the ball through the opponent's block. When spiking, they would have to jump higher than usual. this gives them a chance for them to actually view the other side of the court.

Why is Hinata so obsessed in seeing past the wall? We'll never know. This is what amplifies his passion for volleyball. Our ginger haired spiker instantly stole my heart in the first episode. I was simply entranced by the anime and it's story over all. I can't say much now since I have't finished it all yet. But for now, this is all what I could say.

I've thought about it and now, I've reached a conclusion. I like serving the ball to the other court, it's sending a message to the other side. Like "How's things going over there?" "You must get this ball back here" Especially when the opponents hit the ball I've sent, it was very refreshing. Like "Here's the ball" "nice message" or maybe even "we won't lose to this!" it gives me confidence to stand off the court and give an underhand pass to the opponents (because seriously, I can't do overhead serves). Serving is the only half-decent thing I can do in volleyball, and I guess I should take pride for what little things I can do outside my forte.

Vocaloid Song Review #5

WILDFIRE!! (Gumi English)

Lyrics:
It's above one hundred Fahrenheit
I can't tell if it's day or if it's night
It's burning unbelievably bright
I'm blinded by these flashing lights

my lungs are failing from inhaling
all the charcoal from this circle
of the hate and the lies

God, how dare you
It's unfair you
deny, ignite and
close your eyes

You think by now
That I would have learned
Not to play with fire
if I don't wanna get burned

But I'm a pyromaniac
And your veins are full of gas
you're burning higher, higher
I'm storming this wildfire

I am immune (WILDFIRE)
Because of you (WILDFIRE)
I'm fire proof (WILDFIRE)
Because of you (WILDFIRE)

One look at your face
brings down the human race
to their knees, to their knees
begging please, spare mercy

Then there's somebody
As charred and burnt as me
on their knees, on their knees
begging "more gasoline"

my lungs are failing from inhaling
all the charcoal from this circle
of the hate and the lies

God, how dare you
It's unfair you
deny, ignite and
close your eyes

You think by now
That I would have learned
Not to play with fire
if I don't wanna get burned

But I'm a pyromaniac
And your veins are full of gas
you're burning higher, higher
I'm storming this wildfire

I am immune (WILDFIRE)
Because of you (WILDFIRE)
I'm fire proof (WILDFIRE)
Because of you (WILDFIRE)

Strike a match and watch it burn
You set the world ablaze
But I'm the one that you blame
Fuel the flames and watch me burn
'Cause you have branded me, scorched me
Burnt every inch of me

Strike a match and watch it burn
I'll set the world ablaze
Since it's this game that you play
Fuel the flames of the pyre
And I will burn higher, burn brighter
fight fire with fire

You think by now
That I would have learned
Not to play with fire
if I don't wanna get burned

But I'm a pyromaniac
And your veins are full of gas
you're burning higher, higher
I'm storming this wildfire

I am immune (WILDFIRE)
Because of you (WILDFIRE)
I'm fire proof (WILDFIRE)
Because of you (WILDFIRE)

I am immune (WILDFIRE)
Because of you (WILDFIRE)
I'm fire proof (WILDFIRE)
Because of you (WILDFIRE)

Interestingly enough, the background of this song was about "someone tearing apart a former love, using metaphors involving fire." And here I thought that it was just about some deranged girl who seems to be enjoying the end of the world. I guess I haven't been searching father into this, haven't I? I've also been getting into english vocaloids more. I guess there is always something deep in a song.

My theory is that since this is about someone getting over a breakup, the girl is saying that she's tougher to the point that she's 'immune'. Though that's not the case. The girl had already turned crazy saying that she's already a pyromaniac just explains it. She may have the unquenchable thirst to burn her ex to death or is hallucinating. The probability of hallucination could be a fact. as there was a part where she said that the fire was all around her. She was burning the earth bringing the book of Revelations into action. She also said that she met someone as crazy as her so maybe it's another person trying to get over break up? It's very vague.

Another possibility is that she burned his house down and created the illusion that she's burning the entire world just for the heck of it. But how should I know? that's just a theory, a song theory! thanks for reading! (Totally not from The Game Theorists #sarcasm*wink*wink)

Teamwork

Lost All Hope In Humanity

I'm a person who doesn't particularly like teamwork. Sure I'm fine working with other people but if that thing can be done by a single person I'd rather much do it myself. I can't really say that I'm leader material because I haven't experienced being a leader. Ever. In all my school life, I've never been leader of anything. Not that I'm complaining though, all the work is loaded onto the leader so I'd rather not get that extra luggage on my back. There have been several occurrences at school where I find teamwork not unnecessary but rather, gone.

I was fine with group work since second grade. Go pair me up with someone I barely know? Sure. Pair me up with the tardiest person in class? Sure. Group me with a bunch of whores in class? Sure. As long as I'm informed of the activity and what I should do, that's all fine. But if you don't inform me and blame me that I wasn't cooperating, then that's your fault for not informing me on what to do. I'm like a robot. As long as I'm not on, I won't move. As long as orders aren't given, I won't move. I won't do anything unless someone within the group told me to do.

Grade seven. A despicable first year of high school life. I was grouped with XXX, my best friend. XXX and I did everything together. We ate together, we talked about anime everyday, she was by my side when I was sick. She's a real friend. Until that project then we saw each other's true colors... We were supposed to go to XXX's house that Saturday. I didn't know if the plan was cancelled or not. I kept chatting and messaging. No one answered. No one replied. So I thought that the visit to XXX's house was postponed.

Monday came and I immediately went to ask XXX about what happened. "You weren't there. You're the only one who wasn't there." "Why didn't anyone tell me? No one answered if the plan was cancelled" "Well you weren't online" That's complete BS. You can message someone even if they're not online. It will be sent anyway. I wanted to forgive her and try to reason with the teacher. But it seemed that the teacher was also a lost case. Our teacher had no idea what to do. Uhmm, give me a second chance? let our group redo the recording? NOTHING. I FAILED BECAUSE OF THAT AND THEY SAY THAT IT'S MY FAULT FOR NOT BEING ONLINE? COMPLETE BS.

Being friends and my grades are something completely different. If you're my friend that's fine you're cool. I like you and you're awesome to me. But if you're going to mess with my academic grades, I will slit your throat. I won't hesitate to do those things on my own. I will do those things all by myself. That event has traumatized me. My way of thinking is not all for one. One is for one and one only. I would hate it if another event happened like that again. Oh wait, it did.

Eighth Grade. Quite an emotional year. We were baking for Home economics. When two of our group mates, mainly both my best friends in my group decided to mess around with the ingredients. They added two extra teaspoon of sugar to the mixture. I could forgive them for that, I asked them why they did that. And until today I'm still mad at their reply: "So what?" It infuriates me. That kind of reply makes me want to slap the smug looks out of their faces. I hateo it when they think of everything as a joke. My future is not a joke to you. Oh how I wish that this would be the last time this will occur. Wrong again...

Ninth grade. Just quite recently might I add. It was reporting in another subject. It just so happened to be the subject with one of our most strict teachers. "Everyone within the group must know the contents of your XXX". I never said anything that day. What would I say? The questions were in tagalog. We have to report in english. I just wanted to strangle the leader that day. I wasn't informed of what to do. They didn't give me anything to do until the final part of our XXX. Which was only the tables and graphs. I just colored it and traced it. What did I learn from there? NOTHING. AND THEE LEADER WAS PRETENDING THAT I WAS INVISIBLE THAT WHOLE DAY. I GLARED AT HIM EVERY TIME HE ENTERED MY LINE OF SIGHT. HOW UNFEELING COULD HE GET?

I've lost all hope for humanity. For teamwork. For information. I've given up, just like that. If there's more to come like this, I'd rather do all the work myself. at least I would have a grade of my own and won't hinder the entire group.
